Dr. Shay Corbin is a native of Louisiana growing up in the Baton Rouge area. He attended Louisiana State University before transferring to Texas Chiropractic College where he earned both his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology as well as his Doctor of Chiropractic. He created a rotation through the University of Texas Medical School in the ER at Lyndon B. Johnson Charity Hospital where he developed skills in treating traumatic injuries. Dr. Corbin went on to further his education, earning certification in the fields of Acupuncture, Whiplash Biomechanics & Injury Traumatology, Dry Needling, Manipulation Under Anesthesia, Chiropractic Sports, Nutrition, and the Cox Technique. Dr. Corbin feels it is important for his Spine Center to stay on the cutting edge of technology including a Class 4 Warm Laser as well as data-driven (AI) exercise equipment for a more interactive patient care approach at the Spine Center.

Dr. Corbin opened his practice in 2001 and has had the opportunity to serve as a Chiropractic physician traveling with LSU athletics from 2003 through 2014, as well as traveling with the PGA Tour from 2004 to 2008. He has worked with hundreds of athletes at the high school, collegiate, amateur, and professional levels, as well as Olympic athletes. He has also served as a volunteer practitioner for various races and tournaments throughout the south. Along with physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, Dr. Gregory Ward, he created a talk show, “The Health Show”, which addressed a variety of health issues; Dr. Corbin is a firm believer in an integrated multidisciplinary approach to healthcare. Dr. Corbin has also created a webinar based continuing education series as well as hosting conferences for continuing education with a focus on whiplash, concussion, mTBI, rehabilitation in the worker’s compensation arena, narrative reports, and the mechanism of injuries. He is a Maxwell Leadership Certified Team Member and Certified DISC Consultant. Dr Corbin has recently been named by gubernatorial appointment to the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners.

Outside of his clinical and speaking roles, Dr. Corbin serves on the Board of The LOT Project serving the homeless in the Baton Rouge area. In addition to volunteering, he also enjoys fishing, car racing, flying, scuba diving, and just relaxing with his family.
